I can’t say enough about the gorgeousness of Kaitlin and Jeff’s August 1st wedding at Elm Bank in Wellesley. Herself in event planning, Kaitlin had a clear vision for their wedding. Rose gold and soft pinks were the fundamentals of the rustic-chic celebration. Kaitlin’s dress was romantic and Loose arrangements of wild & cultivated flowers decorated the wooden tables in rose-tinted mercury glass vessels, and elements of different textures such as lace, burlap and tweeds all came together for an overall feeling of warmth. Thoughtful details were everywhere, infusing the whole day with Kaitlin and Jeff’s personalities and making guests feel at home. Family is very important to Kaitlin and Jeff. Wedding photos of parents and grandparents were set up on side tables – Kaitlin even had a piece of lace from her mother’s wedding dress sewn into the one of layers of her own. On top of that, she placed a beautiful pin of her grandmother’s as well. High school sweethearts who’ve been together for more than a decade, Kaitlin and Jeff were ready to tie the knot! Jeff proposed as the two of them settled in for take out among the piles of boxes surrounding them, having just moved into their first condo together. The rose gold engagement ring that Jeff chose would set the tone for the entire wedding. In addition to planning a beautiful wedding, Kaitlin and Jeff were a blast to work with. Kaitlin is both lovely and snarky – a winning combination, and Jeff is a sweetheart who had me laughing quite a bit. Rain threatened to dampen the afternoon, and we did need umbrellas off and on during the first look. The clouds gave us a dramatic sky, and it all cleared within an hour, leaving the ceremony and reception filled with dreamy post-rain hazy sunshine. A beautiful day for a beautiful couple!
